Dr Letson is a graduate of Monash University. He trained in Anaesthesia at the Austin Hospital, Northern Hospital, Mercy Hospital for Women, Royal Children’s Hospital, Dandenong Hospital, and Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.

His usual area of practice is in obstetrics, gynaecology, plastic surgery, ophthalmology, urology, endoscopy, and general surgery.

He maintains public appointments at the Austin Hospital and the Mercy Hospital for Women. He is actively involved in teaching at the medical undergraduate and post-graduate level.
